Domain Registration Period and Renewals Print

How Long Does a Registration Last?

Most domains are registered for 1 year at a time. Before your domain expires, you'll receive renewal reminders via email.

Auto-Renewal

By default, domains are set to auto-renew. This means your domain will automatically renew before it expires, ensuring you never lose it. You can disable auto-renewal from your domain management page if preferred.

What Happens if I Don't Renew?

If a domain is not renewed before expiry, it enters a grace period (typically 30-45 days) where you can still renew it, sometimes with an additional fee. After the grace period, the domain enters redemption (higher recovery fee), and eventually becomes available for anyone to register.
