Two Payment Systems, One Simple Reason
DomainWorld uses two different payment methods depending on what you're doing — and there's a practical reason for each.
DomainWorld Credits — For Platform Services
DomainWorld's prices are intentionally low. Many functions — domain analysis, AI appraisals, premium listing posts, DNS verification, and more — cost literally under a dollar. Some are just a few cents.
At these price points, charging a credit card isn't practical. The credit card processing fees alone would be larger than the cost of the service itself. A /bin/zsh.25 transaction would cost us /bin/zsh.30+ in fees — that math doesn't work for anyone.
So we built a credit system. You purchase a bundle of credits with your credit card (one efficient transaction), and then spend those credits across DomainWorld's services as you go. It's faster for you, cheaper for everyone, and lets us keep prices incredibly low.
You can purchase credits from your DomainWorld Dashboard.
Credit Card — For Domain Registration
Domain name purchases are different. Since the very beginning of the domain industry, registrars have required immediate credit card transactions before processing a registration. This is an industry-wide standard — not a DomainWorld choice.
When you register a domain through DomainWorld, the charge goes directly through our secure Stripe payment processing. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diners Club.
