What is UDRP?

The Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) is an ICANN process for resolving disputes over domain name ownership. If someone believes your domain infringes on their trademark, they can file a UDRP complaint.

How It Works

  1. A trademark holder files a complaint with an approved dispute resolution provider.
  2. You are notified and have 20 days to respond.
  3. A panel reviews the case and issues a decision.
  4. The domain may be transferred, cancelled, or you retain it.

DomainWorld cannot intervene in UDRP proceedings. If you receive a UDRP notice, we recommend consulting with a domain law attorney.
